How can you prepare for upcoming decisions?

The Challenge

What are the trends of information or data that you need to have "at the ready" to guide you in conversations and decision-making? Make a brief list of these--no more than five or six items--and either pull the information together into one document yourself or ask someone else to do it for you. Keep the document on your desktop for easy reference, and share it with your team.

Why do this?

Prepare yourself for upcoming decisions. This action will take some effort, but it is an investment in your ability to easily refer to important information as you make decisions. Often, there are certain facts that will provide critical background information for decisions.

This act is part of your long-term effort to hone your ability to make sound decisions quickly, utilizing all available information.

What’s next?

Share the information with your team to ensure that everyone has access to the facts they need to guide their work and decisions.
