What are your short-term goals?

The Challenge

Write down three goals you'd like to accomplish this month. If you want to take it one step further, share them with your boss so that they know what you're focusing on.

Why do this?

People often like to think that if you do good work, eventually you'll be recognized for it. But the truth of the matter is that the people who are able to be vocal about their accomplishments (in the right way) are much more likely to be noticed and rewarded for them. (By the way, if you noticed that this challenge is similar to another one you've done, you're right. It is! We developed a series dedicated to sharing your accomplishments, and this challenge is part of that series.)

Knowing your value at your organization helps you to advocate for yourself when it comes to for promotions, projects you'd like to be a part of, or other opportunities that you might otherwise miss.

What’s next?

At the end of the month, check your progress against these goals. Did you succeed? If not, what stood in your way?
